Temakeria & Cia.

Hello,

As you get to know brazilians, you will realized we are quite in love in Japanese food. But, the Japanese food that is sold in Brazil, has a brazilian touch, that is why we are so in love with it.

This place that i am mentioning is my favorite place for temaki if you want a fast meal where you can sit, have your food fast, still chat with your friends if you want and for a fair price.

Temakeria & Cia offers a big variety of temakis, sushis, teppans (grilled meat with vegetables) and so on.

Let's explain te "ritual" from the place. Normally there is a line, but if you are not on the restaurant at Joaquim Floriano street, is not going to take more thn 10 minutes.

As soon as you seat on a table they will bring you this cucumber salad, they will not charge it. IT's only a welcome free dish.

After that they will bring you the menu and you can make your choice. Some avaliable choices are:

"Combinado" = combination of shishi and sashimi
Temaki - salmon, cream cheese and green leaves. (you have to tell they if you want your fish in cubes or small pieces. (I always ask the small pieces)

California Sushi                             Teppen de Salmao (grilled salmon), comes with
vegetables, rice and misso                         .

Petit Gateau

They also have nice options for the dessert.

For parking you always have to pay an extra fee between 15 and 25 reais.

Cupcakes

Hii people,

As you may have noticed, the cupcake stands are all around Sao Paulo. In Shopping malls, galleries, streets and cafes. They mostly look more beautiful than tasty but it is worth a try.

I personally tried two brands: Cupcakeria and The Original cupcake.

The Original Cupcake: they have 6 stores in Sao Paulo (all on shopping malls: Santa Cruz, Eldorado, Mooca, Center 3, Internacional de guarulhos and Light), plus 2 stores in Ribeirao Preto and 3 stores in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais state)

My choice : three chocolates, white and black chocolate for topping and nutella filled

Big variety of cupcakes and the people are very patient to explain you all the favors.

Personal review: It really tastes like chocolate and its not like you are eating that greasy topping. I really liked the flavor i got, specially the cake.

Cupcakeria: they have four stores only in the city of Sao Paulo, mainly in the Paulista avenue area

My choice: the brigadeiro cupcake.

Personal review: The cupcake is good, is big and the flavor is ok. The problem is that the topping after the third bite you dont want it anymore, seems very greasy. The other flavors i never tried.

There is one more place for cupcake that i find really cute. It's called Wonder cakes, cupcakes.

Wonder Cakes: They have four stores at Rua Augusta 2542, and on shopping Market Place, shopping Nacoes Unidas  and shopping Patio Higienopolis.

The main difference from the other two stores is that this one seems more elaborated, they have shapes, drawings and always follow the festivities. For example, on june 12th will be valentines day in Brazil, that's why they have all those hearts and i love yous..

In Brazil we even give those cakes as gift, that is why every store has this nice box, so that the client can either take over or give it as a gift to someone.

These stores and other cupcake websites take special orders, so you can order you personalized cupcake for your party or gift, an idea:

Hope you liked it. Send your questions,

Enjoy the day!
